Transition to Secondary School

Transition to Secondary School is a big step for all children and families. 

Working closely with Northorpe Hall, we have put this page together with some key information, flyers and leaflets that might help support your child as they move onto secondary school. 

School staff will always work closely with your child's secondary school to ensure that transition is as smooth as possible. If your child has SEND or Emotional Well-being needs, Mr Bradbury will liaise closely regarding the provision that is required and share key and relevant information with the secondary schools.

Mr Dinning, Mrs Grindley and Mr Bradbury all meet the Secondary School staff to ensure that a robust, enhanced and well-managed transition is in place. As part of our PSHE curriculum, we will deliver bespoke lessons about moving onto Secondary School. We will also invite professionals in, such as Kirklees Keep In Mind, to deliver Workshops with children and parents to help support that move to High School.
