School Vision
'Growing together in one family'
Our school vision is theologically rooted in the Parable of the Mustard Seed. 'The kingdom of heaven is like this. A man takes a mustard seed and sows it in his field. Slowly, but surely it grows. First come the seed leaves; then, more leaves; next the stem that grows taller ... and taller. When it grows up, it is the biggest of all plants. It becomes a tall tree, and all the birds come and make their nests in its branches. Matthew 13:31 - 32
Our school logo was redesigned by our children in school. The details within the logo have a special meaning to our school community.
- The circle shape shows that we are all equal in our school family
- The children at the top, holding hands represent our class colours. They are holding hands as we love and support each other.
- The church represents our close links with St John's Church, Golcar and the stained glass windows represent our class colours.
- The tree represents the Parable of the Mustard Seed and how a tiny seed can grow into a strong tree
- The clock represents the start of our first lesson and coming together to learn new things
- The three branches on the tree represent the Holy Trinity
- We show love by caring for one another and celebrating each individual as a valued member of our community.
- Through friendship, we build strong, supportive relationships that help everyone feel they belong.
- Honesty guides us to act with integrity.
- Forgiveness teaches us to learn from our mistakes and move forward with compassion.
- Respect ensures that we listen to and value each other, recognising the dignity of all.
Together, these values create a nurturing and inclusive environment where children, staff, and families grow in faith, learn from one another, and flourish as part of a united and caring family.
